Dr Rudolf G. Linker
Specialist Orthodontist
Dr Rudolf Linker completed his dentistry degree in 1974 at the University of Adelaide.
In 1984 Dr Linker graduated from the University of Melbourne with the Masters in Dental Science in the specialty of Orthodontics.
He is a registered member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Dental Association. Dr Linker also belongs to the American Society of Orthodontics, the World Federation of Orthodontics, as well as the European Orthodontic Society.
While at the University of Adelaide studying Dental Science, he became a Naval Undergraduate Cadet and upon graduation joined the Royal Australian Navy as a Dental Lieutenant and worked for 2 years in the Fleet Air Arm of the HMAS Albatross, based at Nowra.
Following this, he moved onto the HMAS Cerberus, located on the Mornington Peninsula for a further 3 years.
After leaving the service of the Royal Australian Navy, he opened his own General Practice at Hastings.
In the early years of his own practice, he also taught Growth and Development for the final year dental graduates at Melbourne University, and also participated in continuing education for dental and oral health practitioners.
Dr Linker finds it extremely rewarding to see the growth in self-esteem in his patients as the new smiles he gives to patients. It gives him great satisfaction to see these happy smiles following successful treatment.
Dr Linker practices orthodontics in both the Warragul and Wonthaggi communities.
Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) Dastaran
Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr Mehrnoosh (Nu) Dastaran is a trained specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr Mehrnoosh graduated from Medicine in 2005 from the University of Bristol and Dentistry in 2010 from King’s College London. She was the highest achieving candidate in both degrees.
She earned specialist registration and then underwent sub-specialty fellowships in Craniofacial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Craniofacial Surgery and Reconstruction at King’s College Hospital, London.
Currently, she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate surgical and dental education at the University of Melbourne. She has also completed a Master of Philosophy in Dental Science by Research in the field of Implantology at the University of Melbourne Dental School.
She also works at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne as a Consultant Specialist.
Nu practises the full scope of managing impacted teeth, surgical exertion of wisdom teeth, dental implantology and corrective jaw surgery. She also has an interest in facial reconstruction following trauma, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery and surgical and non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments.
Nu’s ability to perform these treatments are also met with her empathetic approach to patient care and caring nature. During her free time, she enjoys taking classical ballet classes and loves exploring the outdoors.
Periodontist Dr Suman Bellur
BDSc (Hons), DCD Perio (Melb), FPFA
Dr Suman Bellur graduated in 2007 from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc Hons). Following this, she practised as a general density in Shapparton and Melbourne for six years in the private and public health sectors. This provided her with experience in all facets of general practice.
Throughout her career, Suman has been involved with the Australian Dental Association (ADA), and served on the Dental Council, Finance, Risk and Audit and Continuing Professional Development Committees.
Suman was awarded the Pierre Fauchard Academy bursary for her outstanding academic performance, and was accepted into the academy in 2013. She went on to complete her examinations for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Over the years, Suman has worked as a demonstrator and examiner of dental students at the University of Melbourne and LaTrobe University.
Member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), Australian and New Zealand Association of Periodontology (ANZAP), and International Team of Implantology (ITI).
Suman is caring, compassionate and gentle to every one of her patients and provides the highest quality of care possible. During her free time, Suman enjoys fitness the most and has competed in several competitions.
