Your first orthodontic visit

The initial consultation at HiTech Ortho is designed to allow you to meet our friendly team, for us to determine the goals you would like to achieve, and to uncover any orthodontic issues you or your child have.

Generally, patients will come in for an appointment knowing they have an orthodontic issue; however, they will not know what form of treatment they require. Which is why we are the experts and will be able to identify the best form of treatment for you.

During this appointment you have an opportunity to ask all your questions and understand our treatment options.

Our team will carry out an orthodontic assessment on you to diagnose any malocclusions or bite issues you may have and provide you recommendations.

What your initial consultation will tell you

There are three outcomes from having your initial consultation at HiTech Ortho, which include:

1. You require no orthodontic treatment;
2. You require orthodontic treatment and should proceed as soon as possible; or
3. You require orthodontic treatments, but at a later stage.

Our team will let you know which category you fall into and if you require treatment, we will have to do a more in-depth assessment of your mouth and jaw.

This assessment may include radiographs, photographs, a study model and measurements of your jaw.

These assessments are used to recommend and design your customised treatment map.

Your second appointment and ongoing treatment

Once you have finished your initial appointment and we have your diagnostic records, we will invite you back once we have finished designing your personalised treatment plan.

During the second appointment, we will have a deeper understanding of your orthodontic issue and have a treatment journey mapped out for you.

We will then ask you if you would like to begin your orthodontic treatment.
